Beyond the Stars

Constellations are the vision of poets, farmers, sailors and astronomers to distinguish one star from another. But beyond the stars, galaxies form, nebulas swirl, and new stars are born.
We all gaze up at the stars, wondering what else is out there, watching the flickering light from trillions of miles away, so I painted a small watercolor sketch. Which inspired me to make “Beyond the Stars” with a faceted red jewel, a single antique lead crystal gem, and a few dichroic glass stars.
Inspired by a watercolor sketch, "Galaxy," Beyond the Stars is also about the infinite space of the final frontier with 2 faceted jewels representing a red planet and it's orbiting moon at the edge of a nebula.
