In the Studio

It has been a tremendously busy month for me. Both in the studio and with shows – I am not one of those artists that does a show every weekend, or every other weekend all summer long. So having two shows in one month, plus one more coming up in a couple weeks (Art-A-Whirl) on top of the commissions and business in general makes for a very busy time in the studio.

So a quick synopsis of the month starts with picking up my work at the Phipps Center for the Arts in Hudson. Had a lot of fabulous comments on the show, and subsequently met many of those supporters at the ACC and in the studio during the Crawl. The Phipps is wonderful!

Next was the American Craft Council Show, which I have been doing for the last 8 years. This year while a few panels went to new homes, the new cool thing was having a gallery in Door County Wisconsin, the Plum Bottom Gallery, pick up my work. So if you’re traveling this summer, check out Door County, I know I will be making it a destination.

Then I just finished up the Saint Paul Art Crawl in the studio, and bonus: the studio is very clean! We had a busy weekend in the studio for the Crawl. The weather as fantastic, and we all met some new people, made new friends and hopefully created a few new collectors – thank you everyone!
