In the Studio

Fall is right around the corner, and I am enjoying the cool nights, as the kiln heats up the studio in preparation for the fall shows.

But changes, they are a-coming!

As you know, I have been diligently working on my goals, business and strategic plan, and I have hinted at some big changes that are on the horizon. Working with the consultant has led me to a number of epiphanies regarding where the art wants to go, what the artwork is telling me, what the artwork wants to be, and ultimately what makes me want to create. Seriously, I still struggle the most with that last one.

Meanwhile, for those of you that stopped by the studio for Spring Crawl, I shared some of my future plans for the studio. Namely that I have grand plans to expand the studio by reconfiguring the steps and replacing the deck with an enclosed room to create a kiln room. So EXCITING!

But for now, those plans are on a temporary hold (time, financing, and contractor shortage) and the timeline plan is to get the drawings done this winter and a contractor on board to start next spring. Fingers crossed...
