  Middleton Courthouse, West Window
2009 Middleton Courthouse and Police Station

The Pheasant Branch Impressions were installed in each of the three (3) courtroom
window bays and the single (1) window bay located in the police interview area. The
series of four (4) Impressions are each comprised of eight (8) individual window panels
installed on the interior of the insulated window unit with wood stops to match the
trim specified. Each of the Branch Impressions is inspired by a photograph from the
Pheasant Branch Conservancy.
Impression I: a forest trail winding through stands of maple, birch, ash and oak.
Impression II: a stream tumbling over lichen covered rocks.
Impression III: a prairie path entering the edge of the woods.
Impression IV: a majestic oak with brilliant fall colors and the prairie peaking through
the branches.

“My artwork is inspired by a love of architecture, the Impressionists, crazy quilts and the sublime landscape.
I abstract these landscapes into glass and assemble them as if seen through a fractured lens.”
